Yara’s Crostata Recipe

YARA’S ITALIAN CROSTATA RECIPE

Crust:

250 gr flour  = 1 cup and 3/4

50 gr. de cornstarch  = 1/2 cup

150 gr. de butter = 12 Tbsp

80 gr. Sugar = 1/2 cup

1 tsp de baunilha

1 egg

1 yolk

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 pinch of salt


Filling:

250 g Preserves


Topping:

Confectioner sugar


Put crust ingredients in bowl

Mix with your hands until it becomes one big ball

Let it rest covered for 20 mins

Use 3/4 to make crust and 1/4 to make laces


Spread preserves on crust and then place strips of dough on top, criss cross


Bake 350 25-35 mins Until lightly golden
