Gravy

THANKSGIVING GRAVY

5 Tbsp butter

1/2 cup sifted flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

3 cups drippings from turkey fat skimmed from top (or 3 cups canned broth)

1 can evaporated milk 

+additional broth canned or bone broth if needed


Slightly melt/brown butter in saucepan 


Sift in flour, whisking until smooth


Add drippings from turkey while whisking 


Keep on medium high heat whisking constantly until thickens


Add 1/2 to whole can evaporated milk


Salt and pepper to taste 


Can add additional broth if needed


*sometimes I omit the butter if my drippings look real fatty
